Jason,

Awesome, thanks for confirming this. I will make the adjustments so clients
start receiving definitions as often as they are pushed out to the catalog.

SCEP/Defender definitions are normal updates that must be part of the update
catalog for the clients to determine compliance for them and ultimately apply
them if needed. So, no you must run a Sup/WSUS sync cycle on the site as often
as you want these to be deployed up to four times a day. Note that this is
*not* the client update sync cycle as that's irrelevant for actually deploying
updates.

Subject: [mssms] Definition Updates and Synchronization Schedule

Hello All,

I thought there was a way where you can set definition updates to pull down
each day without having your sync schedule to check daily. Am I crazy or is
this not possible, I could swear I read this somewhere?

I would like to have software updates check only on patch Tuesday but also have
definitions pull down daily.

Thanks!
