Here is what Microsoft says CCONNECT can do. (It's on the Win2K Resource
Kit CDs under Additional Components)

Cconnect
(Professional and Server)
Cconnect is a collection of tools that provide a method of tracking
concurrent connection of users and monitoring which computers users are
logged onto. Cconnect:
* Is completely hidden from the end user's view.
* Keeps track of all Computer's that user's are logged into.
* Allows con-current connection limitations to be set on a per-user/group
basis.
* Stores information in a SQL database assigned by the Administrator.
* Tracks the last known user of the computer.
* Monitors which logon server users are logging onto.

That's not my definition of a tool.

That would be akin to installing HP OpenView in order to look at the
utilization of a single NIC on a workstation.

Hey guys of course there is a tool to do this.

Ever thought of using SMS2 :-)

Does this little task very well.

Unless all of your domain members are using RAS, there is no real way to
tell how many people are logged into a domain.

Even if you only have a single domain controller. The reason is that there
is no constant connection for logged on users. It's like being in a
amusement park. You pay to get in, but no one pay attention to if you leave,
or if you actually go on any rides until it's closing time.

You can check the connections on all your resources, but it won't be
completely accurate.

If you're using roaming profiles and network home directories, check to see
how many connections you have there.

Is there a way or a resource kit tool that you can tell how many users
are logged into a domain? Any third-party tools out there? I know
that you can use the computer management MMC to do this but you have to
connect to each one. I found on technet they mention a program called
"cconnect.exe" in Q237252. But I cannot find that executable anywhere.
On my workstation I have both the windows 2000 professional and server
resource kits installed, and still nothing.

Just wondering...
