Ya, but that's a lot different from sticking a T1 into your office and sucking your data down to a data center.
We have a service like that here too...it's called David's Tape Delivery. Really convenient times too. I always know exactly where they are and how long it'll take to retrieve them :) -----Original Message----- From: Anthony L. They then deliver them to their Vault, which is supposed to protect the tapes even from electro magnetic blasts. Their vault is under ground, and they are not too spendy, since we handle backups ourselves, they just store them for us securely. -TOny -----Original Message----- From: David Strome [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, October 01, 2001 11:35 AM To: MSWinNT Discussions Subject: RE: Off site backups There are several companies. Don't know their names offhand though. Just a warning though...you will want to be sitting when you hear their prices. Take the price they quote you, cut it in half or more, and buy your own proper backup system with maybe a consultant to come in and set it up properly. I've heard of many problems with backup/restore providers who state they will provide exact equipment, only to have similar systems (ie...same drive space, same proc, etc)...many like to go bellyup leaving you stranded. The cost/month of the service would probably pay for you to hire a flunky to just sit in the server room and make sure the jobs run each day. I won't get into security.
