DNS working? Can you ping the pdc by name? Do you run logon scripts? Do they run on those machines? I find my NT people often don't report logon script problems because NT remembers too much.

My guess is that the missing workstations are 95/98 - just off the top of my head. 95/98 machines will not show up in the server manager list. Don't remember why, but they don't.
