We have moved our web hosting to a standalone server running W2K server and IIS5.0. This server is not a PDC or BDC. The installation procedures for Certificate Service indicate the need for active directory, but the Installation Wizard will not let us install active directory without the server being a domain controller of some sort. Does anyone know if it's possible to get Certificate Service running without the server being a domain controller?
