If the 9-Pin connector is a SUB-D connector you can connect your MSX to it:

1 - GND
2 - GND
3 - RED
4 - GREEN
5 - BLUE
6 - nc
7 - RGB STATUS
8 - nc
9 - nc

You can use RGB STATUS for SYNC! I've connected my Panasonic FS-A1GT to a
CM8833-II (Philips CGA) monitor...
