I know, and indeed, there was no other way. I wanted to create spell effects
that could really dazzle the player. In part 1, this isn't achieved yet
cause there are so very little spells to cast. In part 2 however,  more
spells can be found and, if I say so myself, some really cool animations.

Spare RAM-space for this cannot be done, because there will be some many
different spells (over 75) with animations. I could choose between keeping
the animations very short, simple and... well, making them look alike (like
in Illusion City, all the animation gfx that the players use is stored in 1
screen, but I wanted to do better.)

I did some thinking however to reduce loading, but the only thing I could
think up was that when a spell cast a second or third time consecutively, it
will only have to load once. However, if you use Fire, Lightning, Fire, the
all three need to load cause each spell is loaded at the same position.

Ok, so it's annoying, but XAK2 also loaded extremely often (even during
simple walking) and yet it was a great game.
