Not converted to an attachment, it was an attachment in the first place. In order to fool my mail client into sending a html mail, I had to write a html file outside the client, then attach it to the mail I was going to send and delete the message body.

So if the actual body is in html, I *think* it would be converted but
not turned into an attachment.


Well then, let's test this for once and for all - this is an HTML email as composed by Thunderbird :). This one sends both an HTML and a plain text version.
