So, why is the path saved? WOuldn't the sha1sum be enough? Search it in
the standard paths, if not found, search for a saved path, if not found, ask user.

Such procedure doesn't allow a very fast starting of the game with the concerned save state and real gamers don't like slow procedures with searchs and questions

What does this have to do with a save state?

Not all games will run on all (generic or special) machine for different reasons : for example RAM memory size or Philips poke .... So, to avoid confusion between gamers, it's always better to know which configuration has been used to make the save state. The goal is indeed to help the gamer with the game itself, not with other problems that are less amazing

Besides, the blueMSX feature that keeps in memory the path to the last 30 used games (10 rom games, 10 dsk games and 10 cas games) must also be viewed as an additionnal comfort for the gamers
