I have previously used msys2 from about a year ago without any problems. I
recently got a new computer and came to install msys2 on it. When I run
msys2_shell.bat, the batch file window closes instantly, but the msys shell
takes almost 2 minutes(!) to open. Thinking maybe it is something about the
new computer, I downloaded msys2 from about a year ago, and the shell
opened almost instantly. I tried each release in between, and found that
from the release from last October onward, each one takes a little longer
(from a few seconds in the October one to about 1 minute and 40 seconds in
the latest one. Is there something to do about this?
