Before any United fans start drooling at the thought of Owen partnering Ruud, it is also worth pointing out that historically Liverpool do NOT sell players to United. With Owen being potentially a future thorn in their side, Old Trafford is the last place they will want him to end up. In fact transfers between the two clubs are as rare as Chelsea winning the League title.
The point about Owen being like Rush is valid, but he is greedy for the big stage and I think his ambition will take him abroad if neccessary.
