I'm afraid this is not the case. The Football League have brought in a rule
that a club going into administration automatically loses 12 points but the
F.A. Premiership have no such rules currently. They are considering adopting
this rule from next season. This gives Leeds the opportunity to go into
administration this season without losing points, have their debts
restructured, screw their lenders, and maybe hang on to some of the better
players still remaining. If this happens and they were relegated and still
in administration by the start of next season I believe the 12 point penalty
would apply.

There is a media rumour that this Sheikh is waiting for them to go into
administration so as he can then buy the club and not be liable for the
majority of the debts. It is all very dubious and you would think that the
Premiership would have acted along the same lines as the Football League
after the Leicester fiasco. However, like me, I am sure that you are well
aware of the startling incompetence of the F.A. hierarchy!!

Cheers,
Neil

As you are all undoubtedly aware, Leeds United are up the proverbial
creek without the proverbial paddle, and could go into administration
before the end of the week. Am I correct in thinking that it is
now 'F.A. law' that a club will be automatically relegated if they go
into administration?
