From what i know, a 68k version of MUI 3.9 was planned to be released (despite what many users use to think) but there was some "political" issues between Stefan and some other ppl.. I wish i could remember the details... You see, Amiga politics bores me to death and never pay attention. If you are interest you can visit AW, ANN or Amiga.org and do a search with the appropriate keywords. Even a look at the changelog of MUI3.9 will give some hints that a 68k version exists! About the CPU load: Actually, due to the optimizations that have been made, MUI 3.9 could even run faster than 3.8, as long as you keep the added eye-candies low.
