Just an FYI, Stéphane and I have been seeing an odd behavior where
the n-trig
hardware stops sending events. The devices look like they should
be functioning
normally and just show no sign of activity (no events coming down

I think I have a working solution. It has to do with a message
starting with 0x0a that I had observed the PC sending to the device
without being able to reproduce it correctly. Considering it as a
feature report and sending it as such with usbhid_submit_report
seems to do the trick.
I'll make a few more tests and send a patch to Rafi for further
testing.
On a side note we are both wondering if there is (and where to
find) a
wiki/table of known hardware and its characteristics (physical/
supported
features, stability testing status, etc).
A Wiki shared by members of the multi-touch dev team would be great,
so that everyone can report their experience. Meanwhile, I updated
the table I have managed at http://lii-enac.fr/en/projects/shareit/ntrig.html
for nearly a year now (thanks to the wonderful experience N-Trig is
providing us with). I'm not sure about what should be the best
columns though.

Agreed, that's a great idea. I've created a general-purpose wiki page
here. This can be the one-stop shop for Ubuntu and multitouch. Let's
keep it updated:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Multitouch
Earlier this month, I'd created wiki pages for this project in
particular, and those are now linked to on that page as well.
Stéphane, I've added a page for your table and linked to it from the
main Multitouch wiki page.
