Henrik: thanks for the pointer. Its been on my list for a few days. Wow, not what I expected. Its huge. A fair number of MT input sources (including hid MT, mac and windows). Lots of media centric support. And lots of examples and tools. Definitely need to take a bit of time to explore and test. We should almost certainly include this as a dev tool. At a glance, I'm not sure if pymt should be considered appropriate to use as the core for mt support.
