Yeah, this is exactly why I sent out an email to linux-input about this
[1]. It sounds like Wacom is quite willing to help someone interested in
developing an in-kernel multitouch driver using evdev, but they don't
have the man power to do it themselves at this time.

As I said in a reply, I am personally interested in writing such a
driver, but I'm not sure if I will have the time to do so either :(.
