Hi,

(I'm still trying to get the base working so that I can use Multisync + P800 +
Evolution 1.4.4)

Following the guide on: http://mobile.linux.pt/p800/ (section 3)
I have set up ppp, and set my cable connection on the P800 itself to modem.

And then I start it up as described:
  pppd call p800-local debug

I get the following displayed in /var/log/messages
Sep 14 10:18:29 linux pppd[3316]: Perms of /dev/ttyS1 are ok, no
'mesg n' neccesary.
   Sep 14 10:18:29 linux chat[3317]: send (.^M)
   Sep 14 10:18:29 linux chat[3317]: expect (Are you there?~)
and nothing else.

If I run 'usbview' I can see the following listed:
   SEMC DSS-20 Sync Station
which is coloured red...(hci_usb is also listed, again in red).

I have bluetooth sort of working as well but from the mail archives I get the feeling
that USB has to be used for this....

Any idea what step I may have missed out to get this working?

Thanks

Chris
