Background:
        RedHat 9
        Zaurus 5000D, OZ

I just grabbed the latest CVS sources, and rebuilt. (Except that I
changed all libtools to /usr/bin/libtool....that took a while to figure
out).

After building and installing multisync, the evolution, and opie_sync
plug-ins:
        * I deleted the XML files on my Zaurus, opened the datebook,
addressbook, and todolist apps and created one dummy entry for each.
(They were out of date, and I wanted to start fresh.)
        * I verified that I can "ssh [EMAIL PROTECTED]" and get in without any
prompting.
        * I setup a new sync pair to use sftp on port 22, user root (I cleared
out the password, but that doesn't, nor should it, have any effect).
        * I turned off 'auto'

When I click "Sync", I get an error in the log file, "Failed to connect
remote: Failed to log in to server."

On a whim (and after a long time of not knowing what to try), I turned
off the "Enable Qcop" option on the opie_zaurus config panel.

Now, I try again, and I get an error message, "Failed to connect remote:
Failed to load data from device 192.168.0.128"

Running with MULTISYNC_DEBUG=1, I get the following on stdout:
        Got message 6
        Connecting to 192.168.0.128...
        Fetching /root/Applications/addressbook/addressbook.xml to
        /tmp/addressbook.xml

So, digging back through some old messages, I found a suggestion to
verify that I can sftp. So I did verify, and I can. I am not prompted
for any user name or password, it just grabs the files I want.

Someone please help...I'm leaving tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon on a
business trip, and really want to have my Zaurus be useful!

thanks,

jay
