If You are using Exchange Server 2000, then it offers u Exchnage Scripting and Its own event sink which can be used to trace all kinds of message comming and going to and from your sever. since you r familiar with ASP/ASP.NET, it provides objects which can be used to read the messages. u can download the exchange server SDK from msn.microsoft.com/exchnage and read for messaging and collaboration.
