Hi Jack,   The problem which you are facing is due to the network adapter being 
disconnected from the network. It is not an IIS issue.  To resolve it, you have to add 
a hardware named Microsoft Loopback adaptor from your add new hardware section in the 
control panel.   After that, go to the network tab in the control panel, and give that 
adaptor any IP address like 192.168.0.1, but that should not clash with your LAN 
address.    In IIS, set the IP address to the (All Unassigned) setting.    After that
