I would prefer HttpWebRequest and HttpWebResponse, but if you really needs to know how this all things works then winsock will be the best way to go with. if you want to do it in less time then go with HttpWebRequest and HttpWebResponse else go with winsock, but winsock will give you whole lot of information which will really guide you thought how this web server and web browsers works.
