Hi, JavaScript can be used indirectly. Which means that the javascript calls an ASPX
page via a standard GET or POST (location.href = MyPage.aspx) that in turn
communicates with the web-service. The web-service is referenced as a dll in the
ASPX's code-behind. If you want that the javascript should call the web-service (via
the ASPX) without the currently loaded page to unload in the browser, you will have to
use frames, where one frame (hidden) contains the ASPX that communicates with the
web-service (MyPage.aspx) and the main ASPX loaded in the other frame (MainPage.aspx).
Once the MyPage.aspx loads in the frame, you can have a onload javascript function in
MyPage.aspx, which causes appropriate operations in MainPage.aspx. Hope this helps.
Rohit.
