Hi,

I've just received an ACF30 USB smart card reader from www.smartcardfocus.com, and it
doesn't seem to be working under Linux. I installed the Windows drivers to check the
hardware, and all seems fine (it lights up when a card's inserted). However when it's
plugged in under Linux dmesg reports:

usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout

5 times before giving up. Hence the device isn't listed by usbview, and David's IFD
(from www.acs.com.hk) reports failure to pcscd.

I have another USB reader (Castles Technology EZ910PU) which is recognised as a USB
device and available to pcscd. Most things work, but smartcard_login's udat reports
"transaction failure", so all's not quite as it should be. However this seems to
indicate that USB is generally working. Since ACS claim Linux support for the ACF30 I
was suprised to get stuck so soon with it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Sean Atkinson.
