Hi,

>> I'm using pcsc-lite(1.1.1). It should be the latest version, isn't it ?
>No the latest stable version is the 1.2.0 available on [1]. There were many
improvements since
>the version 1.1.1. You may also try the CVS version (i.e. the development
version) of PC/SC
>Lite to do your tests.
I've downloaded pcsc-lite(1.2.0) and tested it again. The same failure
found.

>> I'm going to develop & test my USB PC/SC reader on Linux.
>Is it CCID compliant ? If yes there exist an open source driver also
available on [1]
My USB reader is not CCID compliant. I have built my own driver for
pcsc-lite.

>> I don't get another reader.
>Could you try the validation kit with another readers supporting by PC/SC
Lite?
I do NOT have another reader on hand.

>Is there someone on the list that has the Validation Kit and who can try to
get these problems?
I also want to know if other reader manufacturers found these problems.

>> yes, I think the problem is due to bug in the Validation Kit. It should
NOT
>> consider fail to connect to card with unsupported protocol as failure.
>You think that the bug is IN the validation Kit or IN PC/SC Lite?
I think both problems are bugs in the Validation Kit, not in PC/SC lite.

>If you think that it is in PC/SC Lite could you submit a bug report of this
problem or better a
>patch to fix it on [2]? To correct the bug we need to know exactly where
it is located (i.e. file,
>function, line, ... ) also used the pc/sc daemon in debug mode and provide
us all the logs.
How to submit bug report for the Validation Kit ?

>> The same problem is NOT found on MS-Windows. My reader had already
>> passed the WHQL Smartcard Reader test on Windows platform.
>Do you used the same Validation Kit on windows? If yes perhaps the bug is
in PC/SC Lite.
I don't know whether the WHQL Smartcard Reader test program(V3.10) and the
Validation
Kit are doing the same things. But, the test flows & results are nearly
identical.

>Could you follow the same way for the second problem to report the bug?
For the 2nd problem, although I'd compared the data log between the
Validation Kit & the
WHQL, I cannot confirm that it's a bug in it. I need further info from the
developer of the
Validation Kit or/and other reader developers.
