from the error it looks like it is looking for /etc/lib/libslb_rf72.so and can not 
find it.
which reader.conf file is it looking at?

can u send the dump of the reader.conf

teh LIBPATH if u want to use 
"/usr/local/pcsc/drivers/slbReflexUSB.bundle/Contents/Linux/reflex_usb"
has to be
LIBPATH 
/usr/local/pcsc/drivers/slbReflexUSB.bundle/Contents/Linux/reflex_usb/libslb_rf72.so

Yeah, thats exactly what I did and if you read the email I sent to 
the list it shows exactly that below.  Me running the daemon with --debug 
to stdout and it defaults to reading the /etc/reader.conf which does 
exactly what you said, it follows the LIBPATH line.  Unfortunatly, thats 
now how the documentation says it should be configured for USB.  So how do 
I configure it for USB?
