Hi! I have already sent some problems to this mail list, specially related to installation of the tools. Now, I think everything is apparently OK, but I have some doubts about the function of the tools.
I am participating of a project at my university that aims to create an educational public key infrastructure. What we need to do here is: 1- create a key pair inside the card; 2- create and export a certificate requisition inside the card (or export the public key and create the requisition outside it); 3- send the requisition to a certificated authority; 4- receive the certificate and keep it at any place: it can be at Firefox, at card or at any file; 5- diffuse our certificate to the public in general; 6- write an e-mail (at Thunderbird) and sign it with the private key which is inside the card or crypt it with the public key which is inside a certificate that we imported from a third person. My questions are: - At the step 4, is it important to keep the certificate at the card? How can I do this? Do I have to import the certificate to the card like an object at XCard? - How can I use my private key at Thunderbird? I have already installed libmusclepkcs11, and Thunderbird recognizes my card; I can even log at "Security Devices" window. But, at the moment of sign my e-mail, I don't know how to use my private key... Thanks in advance, Amanda
