Maybe you should start with a version of pcsc-lite already packaged for your distribution. I will be an older version but much easier to use if you are not used to recompile softwares from source code. It is NOT a good idea to disable features unless you know what you are doing. And I suspect you don't know what libhal and libusb are used for.
