I will add this to the muse.xml schema with a minOccurs="0" so that we don't
invalidate any existing descriptors when people upgrade to 2.2. the name of the
new element will be xsd-serializable-type, and I will put a new constant in
DescriptorConstants (XSD_SERIALIZABLE_TYPE).
