Muse provides a complete implementation of WS-Notification specification and
pull point notifications. However today to create a notification broker, users
have to invent their own mechanisms using the support for WSN in Muse. It is
desirable to have a broker implemented that follows the WS-BrokeredNotification
specification
(http://docs.oasis-open.org/wsn/wsn-ws_brokered_notification-1.3-spec-os.pdf).
Such an implementation can reuse many of the components provided in Muse
including the subscription manager, resource router and SOAP isolation layers
similar to the way pull points are implemented in Muse. It is expected that
this broker would have a standalone reference implementation but will be
provided as a capability that users can add to their own endpoints or a design
pattern that users can emulate to make their endpoints notification brokers.
