I don't know about the muse.log but Tomcat does not write anything to the catalina.out file. II'm using the setTrace(true) to get the SOAP messages and it sends the request but gets a Fault (Error 500) as response. Unfortunately until Monday I can't check the muse.log file or send the SOAP messages.

what is the content of your tomcat console and/or muse.log? that will help us determine what the error is. if there's no error/stacktrace, try a SOAP monitor to get what Axis2 is sending back.
