Thanks for your email. To answer your question I am very interested in
audio coding (codecs, etc) and specifically applications involving
ultra low power body-worn devices.

There are some really exciting things going on with Bluetooth Low
Energy and the so-called "Low Complexity" audio codec. If you are
interested, there are a number of mailing lists with the Bluetooth
SIG.
