Results: -------- - For white noise, gives ~1. - For simple periodic waveforms, gives < ~0.1. - For mixture of two simple nonharmonic periodic waveforms, gives < 0.5. - For increasing length periodic noise, gives increasing estimate. At this point I'm convinced that it is possible to create entropy estimators that work well for arbitrary simple periodic waveforms.
