I just came up (actually, it's just the first time I noticed) on an album that is a compilation of live tracks: http://musicbrainz.org/showmod.html?modid=4715100 (there's a link with details in it's relationships, I think).
This made it occur to me that "live" and "compilation" are not really mutually exclusive. Perhaps we should have a "live compilation" attribute? That will allow to mark things as a compilation without needing to put "(live)" on all tracks.
