I'd say no.
Maybe my example was a special case. I could understand us not
repeating the Act # for multiple parts in one track with different
Scene numbers, but what about when dealing with a prelude that does
not have a Scene number?
With two parts they have a common "base" and that is that they are
both part of a scene and it is assumed that they are part of the same
Act unless stated otherwise. Since the "Prelude" is not part of any
Scene might it be confusing to see "Act II. Prelude" and then "Scene
I. "Some part"" - we haven't seen (no pun intended) any Scenes be
related to "Act II" yet.
That is really hard to explain - does anyone understand what I mean?
If not, let me try once more:
You have:
Act I, Scene I ... - Scene II ...
Scene I is explicitly part of Act I and you can deduce that (since we
are not repeating "Act I" in the second part) that Scene II is part of
Act I... and the world is at peace.
But, if you have:
Act I ... - Scene I ...
You haven't made that relationship in your mind that Act I has any
scenes... then all of a sudden you're throwing out "Scene I ..." and
you wonder "Where the heck did that come from? Scene I? What's a
scene?!"
This is probably over-thinking to the extreme, but it was on my mind :)
