That might be true, but doing it the way I say gives two advantages.
It makes it easier to indicate the cases where someone conducted both
the orchestra and the choir ("conducted choir and orchestra" instead
of "conducted" and "conducted choir") and avoids getting any wrong
relationships created by the script that merges them. Also, if someone
just knows that person X is a conductor but doesn't know if he
conducted orchestra or choir, he'll have a way to say "conducted"
without specifying more (for example, if he's just following the liner
notes of a release that just says "conductor" for a choral one).
