Hummm... and if they were recording by the same artist, but at the different
time and/or place? And even at the same day and place, but at a different
show/hour/minute?
And what is "the same live performance"? And generally "the same
performance"? I think, when a song is performed by two different people,
them can't be "the same performance" by definition. Maybe, you'd mean "the
same title"? Too obscure... I think, this item is obvious and should be
excluded.

I'm absolutely agree with this, but then a recording in MB should have,
besides a length, an attribute "net length". See my ticket

And also it is very hard to define a length of silence when a recording has
a fade-out ending and/or fade-in beginning - this length will strongly
depend on the ear of an editor ;-)) .
