Just the food booths, which NEFFA invites in the vicinity of five to ten independent organizations or vendors to provide the service of food for a festival population of somewhere above one thousand people a day. Those food providers take home the net profits of their food booth resulting from their labor. More than one non-NEFFA dance organization operates a food booth as a fundraising activity for their own activity. Having a popular menu, and volunteers working a booth make for a successful (in terms of net gain in money) effort. The NEFFA Festival itself tends to operate variably at break even, and a net loss, and that organization has learned to do a variety of creative fundraising activities to support the festival, including offering the opportunity to participate via a $5,000 magnanimous NEFFA membership. ~Mark
