Why not - release early, release often!

You could push it to another branch.  I'll have a look as soon as I've
got some time.  Though I havn't had time to look at your ncmpc work
yet.

RTP is a standardized protocol, I'd expect libortp to be compatible
with any RTP client.  Doing compatibility tests is of course a good
thing.
