My vote would be for range selection - multiple selection should be reserved
in case there's ever a way to select multiple single items (like
ctrl-click).  Having the key bound to "v" will have to be enough for us Vim
fans.  Kind of silly anyway, without a nonvisual selection method.  (Not
that I wouldn't love to have counts precede commands someday)
