Hi, 1st I would like to thank you for this amazing peace of software . MPD assumes that max volume is 100% even with software mixer enabled. That's understandable and expected.
It would be great though If the user had the ability to customize the max volume (similar to mplayer's softvol-max). That would be highly beneficial for low-volume speakers or low-volume audio files.
