I closed registration today on mpd's forum. http://musicpd.org/forum/ because of the large increase of spam posts. We currently have recaptcha for registration and the forum software is current, but this seems insufficient.
I currently do not have the time to keep the forum clean (or to work actively on gmpc for that matter). So I am looking for somebody to take over the maintenance for the forum. I do not like the forum as support system, but for our less tech savvy users it is an important way to get support. If nobody steps forward in the next few weeks, on January 1, 2011 I will close the forum and put it in read-only mode.
