Education is a crutch with which the foolish attack the wise to prove that they are not idiots. Old age is like flying through a storm. Once you're aboard, there's nothing you can do. So many worlds, so much to do, so little done, such things to be. The spirit is at home, if not entirely satisfied, in America. Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without one. As you make your bed, so you must lie in it. We may give advice, but not the sense to use it. Getting divorced just because you don't love a man is almost as silly as getting married just because you do. Better to be driven out from among men than to be disliked of children. The novice in advertising frequently gives the public credit, for too much intelligence. Those to whom we say farewell, are welcomed by others. I have taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me. I never read a book before reviewing it it prejudices a man so. When deeds speak, words are nothing. Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservatives. Winning starts with beginning. There are aphorisms that, like airplanes, stay up only while they are in motion.
