It's Arnt Gulbrandsen's opinion (and mine) that the server is broken: http://mailman1.u.washington.edu/pipermail/imap-protocol/2006-September/000256.html I'd rather not add another round trip, but maybe I have to. The simple solution for both mutt and mirapoint is for the IMAP proxy server to send a gratuitous capability command after authentication completes.
