I was unable to reproduce this with tip. If I create a message like
this:
one blank
two blanks
three blanks
Mutt correctly space stuffs those lines, and they are displayed the
same as I entered in my text editor.
Using an external editor (vim), I create
one space
two spaces
and so on, but once control returns to mutt, the message is displayed
with one less space in the built-in viewer. Postponing and re-editing
does not change the spaces (after the recent fix).
So it seems the message should have been space-stuffed at some stage,
but this is not being done. Will continue to investigate.
