I've just pushed this series out. Note that the option use_idn has been renamed to idn_decode, and there is a new option idn_encode (both default to set). Please let me know if you encounter any problems from this. I haven't delved much into charsets and IDNA before, so I have the sneaking suspicion that I've probably goofed something up.
