Yes, that works for me.
I've tested:
- curses/slang.
- My super long-line email
- Toggling smart_wrap
- Toggling sidebar_visible
- Toggling sidebar_on_right
- Changing sidebar_width
- Toggling pager_index_lines=10
- Toggling tilde
