Derek, I acknowledge your point, but I really don't want to make that kind
of change just to support a date that should never actually exist in a
legitimate email. I'm marking this ticket resolved as the patch fixes the
original reported bug. However, if you really feel strongly about it,
please feel free to open another ticket.
