I agree that the prompt should fit on 80 columns (and less if possible).
But a good multi-line prompt is definitely better than a single-line one
with abbreviations (which may be worse after translation).
Moreover, I find that the parentheses make the prompt harder to read:
there aren't parentheses in words from usual text. Capital letters may not
be ideal either. Highlighted letters may be better (and this is standard);
the highlight style should be configurable as usual via {{{color}}} and
{{{mono}}} commands.
