It seems that this {{{execvp}}} is called only to invoke the sendmail
command. I doubt that providing an updated environment would be really
useful in practice here: the sendmail command is user-configurable, and
the user may want to use a wrapper that outputs some formatted message on
the terminal, but I don't think anyone would do something like that
(except for debugging the wrapper or the system settings). So, I'd say
that this is not important.
