I know for normal OS X stuff, lldb is preferred https://lldb.llvm.org/lldb-gdb.html I couldn't get gdb to work at all the last time I did a stack trace for you, and had to use lldb. However, not sure how they're running mutt on iPhone or whether the same applies. w
